BEUMER has developed a new machine from the BEUMER stretch hood model range The BEUMER stretch hood A sees the BEUMER Group redesign its tried-and-trusted packaging system from scratch. During the development, our specialists analysed various components and optimised them in terms of function, arrangement and ergonomics. The topic of safety when transporting and storing palletised products has been becoming more important. This is what prompted BEUMER to develop a new machine in its proven BEUMER stretch hood model range that offers even more practical and safer handling for the user, compared with other machines in this model range. To facilitate work for maintenance staff, and thus ensure higher machine availability, the new BEUMER stretch hood A is accessable without a platform and steps. Maintenance work, such as changing the blades, or the sealing bars, are now handled at floor level. The operator opens a drawer for these activities, providing free access to blades and sealing bars. With the recent introduction of our new control units we are starting three separate series, our HCU25, HCU50 and HCU100. When launching our new series onto the market we are unable to estimate the expected production amounts accurately. in China When high reliability and power are needed, the mining company Xishan Jinxing Energy Co. Ltd relies on the fill-controlled 866 TPKL fluid coupling from Voith. A total of three fluid couplings are used underground in the powerful 4.8 MW drive of the main belt conveyor in the Xiegou No. 12 coal mine in Shanxi Province, China. Three 1600 kW (1900 HP) drives power the 1900 metre (6200 feet) long main inclined belt conveyor. This conveyor transports 3 800 metric tons of coal every hour. Powerful and reliable couplings are required. For the mine operator, the 866 TPKL fluid coupling from Voith is the best solution on the market. Conference Report and Outlook on 2015 Again, the LUM GmbH, specialized in the development and production of analytical devices for dispersion analysis and particle characterization, hosted their traditional annual International Workshop in Berlin, and this year the event coincided with the 20 th anniversary of the company. In the course of the years this workshop has steadily grown in the number of participants and internationality. The idea is old, but it has never been implemented yet. The inspiration for implementation of these ideas was the MBA-owned patent for magnetic coupling (patent no.: EP1357366B1). By now, the idea of the magnetic coupling has now been developed as an integral component in permanent magnetic synchronous motors. Industrial Auctions is organising online auction on 17th and 18th of June Internationally operating online auctioneer Industrial Auctions B.V is organising in June a big online auction in the food sector. On Tuesday the 17th of June and Wednesday the 18th of June, the online auction of machines and inventory for the food industry will take place. Around 3000 items are being auctioned due to a closing of a factory of VION Food Group in Wunstorf (Germany). In August 2013 VION Food Group, one of Europe`s biggest companies in the food sector, wanted to sell the business unit frozen foods in Wunstorf (Germany) to other food production companies. The decision was made because VION wants to concentrate more on its core activities: the slaughter of cattle and pigs. The establishment in Germany that produced frozen foods, sauces, sausages, soups and ready meals, did not fit anymore in their policies and so they put the establishment in the sales.
