Sesotec With New CEO

Xaver Auer leaves the company at his own request

Sesotec, developer and manufacturer of contaminant detectors and sorting systems, reports a change in its corporate management team. Xaver Auer, who joined Sesotec in 2011 in the course of a change of ownership and as CEO is in charge of strategy, sales, and subsidiaries, will leave the company at his own request at the end of February. As his successor Marc Setzen could be won.

Marc Setzen was born in Aachen and is 48 years old. He studied chemical process engineering at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences (Dipl.-Ing. / graduated engineer) and holds an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) of the ESSEC-Mannheim Business School (Paris/Mannheim). He last worked as Chief Engineering Officer in the corporate management of the Klöckner Pentaplast Group.

”Xaver Auer has developed Sesotec into an innovative and highly dynamic company. I sincerely thank him for this optimal basis and I greatly look forward to having the chance of taking part in shaping the success story of the company in the future”, says Marc Setzen. ”My objective in the medium term is to turn Sesotec into a premium provider in our focus industries. The term premium for me includes a high quality demand in our products, services, and processes.”

”With Marc Setzen we were able to recruit an experienced manager,” says Xaver Auer, previous CEO of Sesotec. ”My successor has comprehensive competences and skills. Best preconditions for keeping Sesotec on its above-average profitability course and for further increasing the company’s attractiveness for customers, partners and employees. I wish Marc Setzen and all the Sesotec colleagues every success.”

OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) presented for the first time Schönberg, November 2017 A well-attended FAKUMA 2017 is over, and also this year Sesotec convinced trade visitors with the metal separators presented at the trade fair. At the FAKUMA Sesotec not only maintained existing business relations with customers and partners but also was able to establish many new national and international contacts. The trade fair presence with the new ”Purity matters” corporate claim was a complete success. At the FAKUMA 2017 Sesotec presented metal separators of the PROTECTOR, RAPID PRO SENSE and GF series. These systems reliably detect and separate magnetic and non-magnetic metal particles even if they are enclosed in the granulate, and they thus ensure the quality of plastic products. Injection moulding machines, extruders, and blow moulding machines are protected against damage and clogging, the output is increased, and the amount of rejects is reduced. Metal separators contribute to the optimisation of processes, to the minimisation

Presentation of innovative solutions for PET recycling
At the Drinktec 2017 Sesotec Sharpened its Profile as a Full-Range Supplier The drinktec 2017 trade fair was held at the Munich exhibition grounds from 11 to 15 September. The world’s leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry had more than 76,000 visitors. One subject among many others were the latest developments in PET recycling. Sesotec GmbH from Schönberg not only presented itself with a trade fair stand but also with a specialist lecture held by Michael Perl, head of Business Unit Sorting Recycling, whose personal forecast for the future of PET recycling was: ”We are at the beginning of a new phase in which companies must effectively and efficiently find the way from singular sorting solutions towards multi-sensor-supported and networked PET sorting. Only those who early on give attention to innovative complete solutions will have the chance to stay ahead of their competitors.” At the Sesotec trade fair stand the exhibited Flake Purifier+ system was fully convincing. The multi-sensor sorting system was comprehensively

Smart Factory - Increase in efficiency and quality through digitisation At the FAKUMA 2017 trade fair that will be held in Friedrichshafen from 17 to 21 October, Sesotec GmbH in hall B1, booth 1302, as trade fair highlights presents Industry 4.0-ready metal separators to trade visitors. These systems contribute to the optimisation of processes and to the minimisation of time and product losses. The objective of plastics manufacturers and processors is to produce a maximum quantity of products in constant high quality. For achieving this objective the digitisation of processes is of decisive importance. For injection moulding, for example, digitisation in practice means that processes run stable and with high precision because information that is provided by peripherals such as metal separators is gathered in a network through standardised interfaces and machine parameters are thus automatically readjusted. Networked Sesotec metal separators Easy to use, highly robust, and efficient: These are the characterising properties of the

Quality assurance in the plastics industry Metal separators guarantee high-quality extruded plastic foils
Quality assurance in the plastics industry
Metal separators guarantee high-quality extruded plastic foils About Vinipack Vinipack S.A. in Bogota, Colombia, produces high-quality plastic foils and cellophane. The foils primarily are made of PVC and PET. Vinipack permanently is searching for possible improvements to reach an even higher rate of customer satisfaction. Quality and quality inspection are of outstanding importance. The objective of Vinipack is to be nationally and internationally recognised as a reliable supplier of high-quality products. From raw materials and from machine wear, metal particles may get into the production processes. For the reliable removal of such metal particles Vinipack uses Sesotec PROTECTOR-MF metal separators for quality assurance. Through our Socomex distribution partner, who has a long-standing customer relationship with Vinipack, Sesotec supplied metal separators of type PROTECTOR-MF for the inspection and cleaning of PVC powder. Since these metal separators were installed, production at Vinipack has been running without any machine

Food-PET or Non-Food-PET, that is the Question
Differentiation of used PET bottles by means of UV fluorescence markers The ”Final Consortium Meeting” of the Polymark project was held at Sesotec GmbH in Schönberg on 7th and 8th February 2017. Polymark was a three-year research project funded by the European Commission that focused on a new technology for the identification and sorting of plastics, particularly PET. The correct detection of plastics and the generation of high-quality secondary raw materials should be further improved. The project involved participants from the complete PET value creation chain. The objective of the Polymark project was to increase the level of food-contact-approved recyclate from the PET recycling process by differentiating between PET bottles that were used for food (food bottles) and bottles that did not contain food (non-food bottles). On the one hand marker substances were developed for this purpose that make it possible in the recycling process to efficiently differentiate food-PET bottles from non-food PET bottles. These marker substances
