The mid-sized chemical service provider ProChem GmbH with its plants in Oberthal, Bensheim and Dieburg is continuing to grow. In 2015 two new production and storage facilities were built with a total area over 1000 square meters at the location Oberthal. New reactors and dryers/mixers were installed. The typical project is to clean imported raw material by recrystallization and to dry the material subsequently. The dryer can be equipped with choppers and coupled with mill and sieve in order to ensure a defined grain size. At Bensheim an additional air jet mill AFG 630 from the manufacturer Hosokawa was installed for being able to offer more fine milling.
The Bensheim factory was taken over by ProChem in 2011 from the company AkzoNobel, which manufactured powder coatings. Therefore, the location holds a big portfolio of cutting, pin and hammer mills, as well as sieves and mixers. All products are filled and labeled according to customer requirements in BigBags, sacks, boxes or drums.
In 2016 the growth at ProChem goes on. In Oberthal a new administrative and laboratory building will arise and in the new halls additional equipment for piloting will be installed.
