Compact 12,000 gauss stainless steel pipe magnet separator by Goudsmit

Goudsmit Magnetics (Waalre, Netherlands) has developed a new pipe magnet that requires half the installation height of its predecessor and is also twice as strong.
Manufactured entirely from stainless steel, the magnetic separator contains a core of neodymium (NdFeB) magnets and creates a flux density of 12,000 gauss. The conical-shaped magnet core contains more pole plates, so even 30 µm particles stick to more engagement points.
This results in a higher degree of separation and also makes it possible to capture smaller metal particles in addition to coarse ones. Steel particles present in the product flow such as bolts, nuts, washers, screws, small metal balls, broken threads and clips can be effortlessly separated from grains, corn, flour, wheat flour and other incoming goods flows. The new magnet system is suitable not only for mounting in free-fall pipes, but also for pressure pipes. The stainless steel bullet magnet can be used in food but also other industries.

Low installation height & compact design

The 12,000 gauss pipe magnet was developed in response to specific market demands. The first requirement was to develop a pipe magnet with a low installation height that, with a small adjustment in terms of pipe length, can be easily integrated into existing processes. This, together with the high flux density, means that the magnet can already be used at goods intake. An additional advantage is that the pipe magnet captures smaller metal particles in addition to large metal particles, improving product quality. This prevents dust explosions and damage to machinery, resulting in production stoppages. The stainless steel pipe magnet can optionally be fitted with various flanges, such as DIN, Jacob etc. This makes the product widely applicable.

Quick access for easy cleaning

Despite the strong permanent magnetic core, the magnet is easy to clean. Through the door with vertical suspension, inspecting for contamination levels is seconds work. The magnet can be opened and cleaned by hand or a scraper. Smaller metal parts, such as balls or broken threads, can be easily pushed above the tapered top of the magnetic core and then removed. This is an improvement over previously designed versions. To prevent the magnet from being opened during the production process, it is possible to fit the stainless steel pipe magnet with a safety switch.

10,000 gauss rotating magnet separator for poorly flowing powders
The recently developed 10,000 gauss rotating cleanflow magnet from Goudsmit Magnetics filters magnetic and paramagnetic particles out of poorly flowing, greasy powders in the food, pharma and chemical industries. The magnet rotor is composed of 7 strong magnet bars, equipped with Neodymium-iron-boron magnets, each with a diameter of 32 mm. This is 40% thicker than regular magnetic bars and also used by the magnet manufacturer -the only one in the market- in the static version of the cleanflow. The magnetic separator was developed in response to many customer requests. It is suitable for free-fall lines and captures both iron and AISI 304 and AISI 316 particles as small as 30 µm from cocoa or milk powder, for example. An additional advantage is the higher capacity powder that the new cleanflow magnet type can process compared to the 8- or 12-rod magnet separator. The magnetic extractor is designed to be interchangeable one-to-one with existing rotary cleanflow systems. Capacities The powerful magnetic bars in the cleanflow separator filter metal particles and paramagnetic particles from fatty powders and granular products. The separator is available in 3 sizes of which

Modular overband magnet for mobile recycling systems
Goudsmit has recently developed a range of mobile overband magnets. The modularly designed magnets remove iron particles from underlying material streams and are intended for mobile recycling systems. For mobile recycling systems such as shredders, crushers and screens. The magnetic separators are constructed with either Ferrite or Neodymium magnets, with the latter being upgraded from a 2-pole to a 3-pole system. This modified design provides a stronger magnetic field from the same number of magnets. The compact and strong Neodymium 3-pole overband allows iron to rotate more and pulls it loose, even when it is under a pile of material. This ultimately results in a cleaner product and allows more metal to be recovered. Modular construction The recent design of the mobile overband magnets is modular and includes an extra attenuator at the end of the magnet. As mobile crushers have a diverse power supply - electric or hydro - the modular construction offers the user a choice between a hydro drive, gearmotor drive or drummotor drive. The weakening magnet in the new version comes on top of the various working widths, available in 650, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 mm.

Double wall modular magnet filter for chocolate
The range of magnetic filters that Goudsmit Magnetics has been manufacturing for several years has recently been expanded with a modular, double-wall chocolate filter. The magnetic filter produced according to EHEDG guidelines is composed of Neodymium magnets that ensure effective separation of very small iron particles from 30μm, weakly magnetic particles and even iron dust from sticky substances such as chocolate. The hygienic filter can be seen on the Powtech in Nuremberg, position 3-634. In the new design, the housing is not welded but made of one piece -RVS 316-. The new design prevents the heated liquid, e.g. water, from entering the product channel. This water flows through the outer wall of the filter and keeps the chocolate liquid. In the fully modular design, a standard filter vessel of choice can be an ISO or a DIN pipe. This makes the filter easy to integrate into existing installations and also suitable for all couplings. The system fully meets the highest possible requirements within the food industry, such as HACCP and EHEDG. >> Watch the video to see how the magnetic filter works. Modular design An advantage
