Universal speed relay for all speed monitoring applications; offering intuitive user configuration using control buttons and LCD display, as well as relay and solid state outputs with individual speed range monitoring. 4B’s USR Speed Relay is a microprocessor controlled digital speed monitor for use with 2, 3, 4 wire NPN/PNP sensors, 4B’s WDA range of sensors or contact sensor inputs, with a user programmable electro-mechanical relay and PhotoMOS Solid State Relay (SSR) outputs. The Speed Relay has a 160x80 pixel LCD display to provide information, and 3 front panel buttons to program settings. The USR Speed Relay reads input pulses and displays the calculated pulse frequency in a range of selectable units. The user can set the Electromechanical Relay and PhotoMOS Solid State Relay outputs independently, with their own thresholds and output behaviors, and have the Alarm LED indicate the state of one of the outputs. The Electromechanical Relay can be set to trigger when the input speed is outside the chosen range. 4B’s Vibmil Vibration Sensor (VIBMIL) is designed for continuous monitoring of vibration levels in industrial environments. 4B’s Vibmil Vibration Sensor (VIBMIL) is designed for continuous monitoring of vibration levels in industrial environments. A current loop-powered accelerometer, VIBMIL delivers precise vibration RMS velocity readings through a 4-20 mA output. Encased in a robust stainless-steel enclosure with a 3/4” NPT thread for conduit connection, VIBMIL assures durability in the harshest industrial conditions. For added versatility, it can be supplied with optional inbuilt NTC or PT100 temperature sensors. Designed with ease of use in mind, the VIBMIL comes equipped with a female 1/4”-28 UNF mounting thread, allowing secure attachment using screws, studs, or mounting studs. Optional converters to M8 and M6 male threads provide additional flexibility. Integration into control systems is seamless, thanks to the 2-wire, loop-powered accelerometer, providing linearized output from 4 – 20mA, proportional to the sensor’s measuring range. The new, ATEX-approved Encoder-Flex 1024 is changing the way slide gates are monitored. This compact rotary shaft encoder uses advanced technology to deliver a precise position from 0 to 100%. With a compact, sleek design, the Encoder-Flex 1024 removes the bulkiness associated with traditional shaft encoders and adds the benefit of easy calibration. There is no need to open up the unit; simply apply an external magnet briefly to calibrate. Providing even more flexibility, resolution can be programmed for 1 to 1024 pulses per rotation. The sensors screw directly into a bearing housing through a 1/4” BSPT threaded grease zerk. Each sensor is fitted with a grease zerk to allow lubrication of the bearing without the need for removal of the sensor. The ADB series have NTC or PT100 type thermistors which allow for continuous temperature monitoring. The sensor is supplied with a 3m attached cable and can be connected to a PLC or to a hazard monitoring system, such as 4B’s Watchdog Super Elite, T500 Hotbus Elite or T400 NTC Elite. The connections are not polarity sensitive therefore special connection requirements are eliminated, and the cable can be extended in the field. 4B’s Nylathane buckets offer the opportunity to replace traditional steel and ductile iron elevator buckets with a similarly durable but lighter weight option Industrial elevator bucket designs have not changed significantly since the 1950s. However, the introduction of Nylathane, by 4B Group, brings a new technology to the industry. Nylathane is a unique polymer that combines Nylon 6 with an elastomer. It has the durability of nylon with the slick release surfaces associated with polyurethane. This combination makes it ideal for bucket elevators in the cement industry where impact tolerance and discharge efficiency of sticky or powdery products are required to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Prior to its use in elevator buckets, Nylathane has been field proven in even more demanding applications such as track pads for tractors. Iron or steel elevator buckets can be prone to deformation or breakage due to impact from foreign objects or operational issues. Once deformed their capacity and efficiency is diminished.
